An ERCP endoscope is a long, flexible tube with a light and camera at the tip, used in the Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedure. It is guided through the mouth, esophagus, and stomach into the first part of the small intestine (duodenum) to visualize and treat problems in the bile and pancreatic ducts. The scope allows doctors to inject a contrast dye for X-ray imaging and to pass additional tools for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
