Coagulation Monitor (INR Tester)
A coagulation monitor, or INR tester, is a portable device used to monitor blood clotting, primarily for patients taking the anticoagulant warfarin. It works by measuring how long it takes a blood sample to clot, using a special test strip, and then calculating the International Normalized Ratio (INR). This result helps patients and their doctors determine if their medication dosage is correct to prevent dangerous blood clots or excessive bleeding.
