Arkray Tuberculin PPD 5TU/0.1ML is a sterile, ready-to-use, intradermal injection solution for the Mantoux test, which detects immune sensitization to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis (TB). It contains 5 Tuberculin Units (TU) of Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) in 0.1 mL of solution, along with Tween 80 as a stabilizer, phenol as a preservative, and an isotonic phosphate buffer. The test is indicated for tuberculosis screening, diagnosis, and identifying individuals for BCG vaccination or re-immunization.
